Dr. Núñez is a bilingual, board-certified pediatric critical care physician in the United States, whose driving force in her professional career is her passion to provide medical care and relief in areas where healthcare is limited or challenging.
Through mission trips to various countries in Latin America, Dr. Núñez has touched the lives of patients and their families. As the eldest daughter of Dominican parents, born in New York and raised in the Dominican Republic, where she developed her passion for serving the underserved community, she decided to serve the Latino community in New York.

At Montefiore Children’s Hospital, where she currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Dr. Núñez has implemented patient- and family-centered rounds in the Pediatric Critical Care Unit, ensuring that patients and their families are at the center of attention and are treated with dignity and respect, considering their cultural values. With an entrepreneurial vision to create health equity within the Latino community, she decided to establish several clinics and a nonprofit organization.
